Writer's picture: Ken and TaraKen and Tara

The busy, hustle and bustle that never stops when you have 17 Million people and 15 million Vespas. We stopped first at the beautiful pagoda's by the lake. These are some of the oldest pagodas in the city of Hanoi. This temple is beautiful and is a main attraction for both tourists and locals who want to spend time at one of the most famous Buddhist temples in Hanoi.

The Museum of Ethnology is a must see. Vietnam has over 54 different tribes throughout the country. We spent part of the day at this museum that gives you a chance to see many of the different customs of each of these tribes. They have actual buildings to show how each of these tribes live. There is an amazing variety of different housing for all the different geographical areas that these tribes live in. For lunch we went to a small restaurant in Hanoi that has become the hottest place in town because it was the location where President Obama had lunch with Anthony Bourdain.

It is now the most popular place in town to get Bun cha the famous Pho made of pork and vegetables. https://www.vme.org.vn/en
