I wanted to do a post of some of the amazing artwork in the many temples that Tara and I explored while in Vietnam. We spent the day outside the city exploring National parks, ancient villages and rural craft centers. The red river is the lifeblood of Tonkin. There are many options to choose from in the village of Doung Lam which dates back to the seven century and the birthplace of two ancient kings. A great place to walk and take in the history of the ancient villages in Vietnam.
During our journey to Hulong Bay, we made a stop at a Pearl farm, observing the workers as they implant into the oysters to cultivate pearls. Of course, Tara spent quite a bit of time searching for just a right pearl for her beautiful neck.
