The Temples of Angkor span more than 40 acres, so it's advisable to wear comfortable shoes and clothing suitable for the warm and humid climate. I highly recommend hiring a guide with a driver who can take you directly to the front of the temples and guide you through various sites. Our Guide, Silen Truy was fantastic. She was extremely knowledgeable of all the temples and all things Siem Reap. She speaks excellent English, and is just about as cute as can be. She made our trip so much more enjoyable. If you are going to Siem Reap let me know and I will give you her contact if you're looking for a guide.

Exploring Angkor Wat and Bayon Temple was an incredible experience. Bayon Temple is renowned for its numerous stone faces, as the king who constructed it wanted his likeness to gaze in every direction. Although we experienced a bit of rain during our visit, wandering through the temple was still captivating. Then, of course, there's the renowned Angkor Wat, a vast complex of five buildings. It's stunning to walk through, and it's worth spending a couple of days to revisit it at different times and see it in various lighting. It's truly spectacular. It is a tradition to get up very early in the morning and watch the sunrise over the beautiful Angkor Wat spires so of course we had to do that. It was beautiful.
