After all of our international travel last year we took it a little easy this year and spent most of the summer just getting out of the heat in Arizona and enjoying some of our favorite places in the West. In June we spent two weeks in Santa Barbara and LA celebrating two weddings. The first wedding was in Santa Barbara one of our favorite places! We attended our friends Jeanette and Mike Blalock's daughter Alex's marriage to her fiancé Karan. Karan is of Indian descent and the entire wedding weekend was a super fun and interesting combination of Indian and Western traditions.
The Sangeet
Sisters dancing for Bride and Groom
Beautiful Church ceremony and reception
Indian Bead ceremony symbolism the union of the two families
A Wonderful week in Santa Barbara. Thank you Jeanette and Mike Blalock.
Off to LA for another beautiful wedding of our friends Jane and Mark Gavins daughter Jordan to her fiancé Adam. It was nice to get back to LA and see some of our old friends. We played golf and had time with Michelle and James. We enjoyed the cool June gloom on the west side of LA. Jordan and Adam had a traditional Jewish wedding at the beautiful Hillcrest country club.
We really enjoyed learning more about the symbolism behind some of the Jewish traditions.
Relaxed but still so elegant.
