Living in Arizona we need to escape the summer heat at times. Being so close to Utah, we went north to explore the amazing beauty of the state. We started with a quick stop at Horseshoe Bend at the Grand Canyon. A very popular place for amazing photos and such a wonder to see in person. Then we headed to Park City to enjoy some quality time with our friends Jeanette and Mike Blalock. We stayed at the beautiful Montage resort in Deer Valley,
The clouds, the mountains, and the lush trees and grass makes Park City a beautiful place. Hiking is the best way to enjoy the spectacular nature of the region. We took 3 separate hikes around the Deer Vally resort. Breath taking views everywhere you look.
Of course with this beautiful weather there had to be some golf. We were fortunate enough to play three days at three very different, but beautiful golf courses. We even had an elk join us at one of the courses. Here is where we went:
Park City Golf Club-Next to Park City Ski Mountain
Glenwild Country Club-Private club with caddies and an incredible looking course
Wasatch-Choice of 2 courses with long beautiful fairways.
A highlight of our trip to Utah was our time spent fly fishing. We hired some fly fishing guides and spent the day wading through cold water and catching lots of beautiful trout. The guides were so helpful and made our day easy and very enjoyable. I would definitely go back and do this again. The scenery was spectacular and the fish were biting.
