Our last stop in Southeast Asia was in Cambodia. I must say it was our favorite place on this long trip. Siam Reap is a wonderful city with some of the friendliest people we have ever met. Most of the population is Buddhist and believe very much in karma. And I believe that is why they are so good to each other and to travelers from all over the world. Tara and I enjoyed every moment we spent there. Our stay, was highlighted by staying at the beautiful Jaya House in Siam Reap. A small boutique hotel that probably had the best service we've ever had in any hotel around the world
Included was a wonderful breakfast every morning, a spa treatment every day of your stay, laundry done for you each day, and if you needed a ride anywhere around town, they would be more than happy to take you and pick you up. The owner was a wonderful Danish man who fell in love with the people of Cambodia and decided to make it his home and start a business there. He has hired many of the local people who he has met on the streets of Siem Reap. I couldn't help but highlight this wonderful home away from home in our blog. I highly recommend it.
