Beautiful Sedona

We have been traveling full-time for almost 6 months now and of course people have given us lots of recommendations of places to visit. Sometimes the places live up to their hype but many times we have been a bit disappointed. Sedona was a place that everyone said we would love and they were right! It was more beautiful and spectacular than we anticipated.

We also got a great deal on a luxury hotel so that was a nice treat.

We normally stay at a hotel if we're going to be in a place for just a couple nights and do an Airbnb if it's going to be more than three or four nights. Most of the time if we're just passing through town for a few nights we stay at a pretty reasonable hotel but this time we stayed at the beautiful L’Aubrege de Sedona and really enjoyed the beautiful property. We had our own freestanding little cabin with a fireplace and a giant Jacuzzi tub so it was really a treat.

Sedona is so beautiful and dramatic there are so many amazing mountains and they're all different in their own way. We hiked both days we were there and saw gorgeous views. We had some restaurant recommendations from friends, Elote for delicious southwestern style Mexican and Dahl and Delucca for great old-school Italian.

I'm so glad we had our little getaway in Sedona and now we are winding down our two months in Phoenix and getting ready for our three month trip to Europe. I am excited to get on the road again and start traveling but of course I'm a little nervous about three months in Europe particularly because we have really planned to only take one medium suitcase in addition to our carry-ons.
