We had an amazing wedding weekend. It was three days of fun and excitement. My daughter and her new husband were college sweethearts and they dated for almost 8 years so we knew him very well and were thrilled that they were getting married. It was so wonderful to have so many friends and family there to celebrate with us it was such a joyful wedding!
We got back to New York Sunday night all of us exhausted. I went to lunch with my daughter on Monday and she said she was so happy but also felt a little bit down now that all the excitement is over. I also felt a little bit strange since so much of the last year has been about planning the wedding. For some reason also the idea that Ken and I don't have a house to go back to and are really on the road permanently has kind of started to hit me. We've had so much to do with packing up the house, organizing the storage unit and helping with the wedding now and that part is over it's kind of sinking in that we are traveling and on our own from now on.
I'm excited for our last two weeks in New York and for the rest of this leg of the trip which will be the Carolinas of Florida I'm very curious how I will feel when we get back to Los Angeles in early November. We are staying with a dear friend of ours and it will be interesting to be back in our old stomping grounds. I have missed my friends and family in Los Angeles very much but have not missed living in Los Angeles so it will be interesting to see how I feel when we go back.
